“There are years that ask questions and years that answer.” – Zora Neale Hurston writes. After a year of uncertainty, we can enter 2021 ready to start to act. Our two pillars for action in 2021 are:
Building Resilient Communities
In this newsletter, we want to celebrate our shoulder-to-shoulder relationship with our colleagues at the World Wide Web Foundation, and I want to personally thank Sonia Jorge who brought us much closer in recent years. We share and celebrate the news of Vint Cerf being recognized as an Honoree by the International Peace Honors. We also investigate how we will continue to build resilient communities, despite the setbacks we have all faced.
We have a bumper edition in February, having taken a 2-month break in December and January as we said goodbye to Sarah Wright, our Newsletter Editor in November – we wish her all the very best and thank her for her great contributions to the People Centered Internet and the emergence of the Global Help Desk. We welcome Mia McTigue-Rodriguez, based in London, who has stepped in as PCI’s Newsletter Editor.
With gratitude for you being part of our community, for who you are and all you do.
