PCI enables the selection, implementation and measurement of projects with the support of the world’s major Internet access funders. PCI also generates in-country data and global metadata from markets containing billions of new Internet users. This data is used by PCI’s partners and sponsors to inform decision-making and strategic investment, to improve project selection and effectiveness, and to reduce wasted resource and budgets. Using strategic partnerships PCI can save billions of dollars, uncover opportunities worth billions, and help billions connect to thrive.

Our partnerships give PCI access to a global network of almost a million people already on the ground. They provide in-country expertise, deep cultural understanding, and the means to reach billions of people. By leveraging this infrastructure of communities, PCI can successfully open up new opportunities for education, innovation and prosperity.

Networked Improvement Communities

PCI uses principles developed by Douglas Englebart and others to provide an autonomous community learning framework called Networked Improvement Communities (NIC). The NIC approach has been tested and proven by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s 100 Million Healthy Lives initiative which informs global strategy from over 500 in-country projects and forms the basis of PCI’s local-to-global work.

Deploy Locally, Improve Globally

We are constantly developing new partnerships with organizations and technology providers to help us deploy access projects locally. Grass roots learning is fed back globally so that each new project becomes increasingly efficient and effective, reducing wasted budget and informing project selection and improvement. And our partners benefit from understanding new markets and opportunities to help people thrive.
