The Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the United Nations require international action, the collaboration of individual states as well as national initiatives. Action and involvement of less developed states are equally important and essential as initiatives taken by developed countries.
This session will shed some light on Sudan and its contribution to the SDGs in the context of science and innovation. Sudan’s science and Innovation sector addresses SDG 6 Clean Water and Sanitation, Goal 13 Climate Action, Goal 14 Life below Water and Goal 15 Life on Land.
The themes this session will address include biodiversity, water and agriculture among others.
