The 2023 Internet Poverty Index

World Data Lab invites you to join the launch of the 2023 edition of the Internet Poverty Index (IPI) in partnership with the Internet Society Foundation. The webinar is scheduled to take place on May 17, 2023, at 11 AM EST (5 PM CET).
The webinar will include an interactive panel discussion with representatives from World Data Lab, the Internet Society Foundation, the World Bank Group, Templeton World Charity Foundation, and more.
The IPI ranks countries based on an individual’s ability to afford a minimum basket of mobile internet, which includes 1 GB of monthly access at a minimum download speed of 10 Mb per second. This webinar will answer some key questions that have stemmed from our research on internet poverty: Has the number of people living in internet poverty increased or decreased over the past year? Which countries have been most effective in driving down internet poverty? Where do most of the internet poor currently reside? Which countries have the most and least competitive internet pricing? And many more.
