Dear Members of the People-Centered Internet Community,
Dear Members of the I4J Community,

PCI welcomes Jascha Stein, our new Executive Chair joining the leadership team of Mei Lin Fung, Co-chair and Founding Chair Vint Cerf. People Centered Internet was founded in October 2015 at Stanford (link) and now, 8 years on, we are a community of almost 1000 members. Around the world, governments, corporate enterprises, institutions, and organizations are incorporating PCI driven insights and learnings, including our work with

—the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) where we helped pioneer the Gender Trendsetter program;
—the Native-led Tribal Resource Center (link) in the U.S. which 175 tribal nations have utilized for trustworthy guidance on broadband access
—the newly launched Puerto Rico Prosperity Initiative in cooperation with the US Census Bureau
—the German G7 Think7 which resulted in PCI’s 2022 policy contributions which led to what is now the policy development on “People Centered Science and Digital Transformation: A Practical Approach for the G7 and G20,” for the Japan G7 Think7
—plus our ongoing Digital Cooperationp and Diplomacy monthly meetings and informal network of leaders in their respective domains which was first chaired by Vint Cerf, and now chaired by Estonian Tech Envoy, Dr. Nele Leosk

“I am proud of all we have done together and energized and excited for Jascha to join in partnership to expand upon what Vint and I began.” Mei Lin Fung

Jascha and Mei Lin have joined forces to strongly harness the most powerful and special aspect about PCI and I4J: Our deep community of thought leaders, with extraordinary expertise across multiple technologies, geographies, and disciplines. We believe it is this network of people with the passion and interest in ensuring technology for good, who will be instrumental in shaping the sustainable positive impact — by, for and with the people of the world, whose interests are what technology should serve.

I’m thrilled to collaborate with visionaries like Mei Lin Fung and Vint Cerf as we harness the collective power of our extraordinary communities. Together, we’re not just shaping the future of PCI; we’re reimagining a world where the Internet and Artificial Intelligence are catalysts for universal economic and social prosperity. i”m looking forward to embarking on this transformative journey with our members” Jascha Stein
