Tiffany Brar awarded Highest Woman Award by the President of India

We are proud to offer our highest congratulations to Tiffany Brar, PCI Fellow and Ambassador to the Community of the Visually Impaired. Tiffany received the “Nari Shakti Puraskar” Award, which is the highest civilian honor for women in India, presented by the President of India on March 8, International Women’s Day.

Award-winning activist Brar is known for her organization, the Jyothirgamaya Foundation, which began as a mobile blind school in 2012, and is actively involved in the empowerment of persons with visual impairments, teaching life skills to people of all ages. Tiffany works with the PCI Community to broaden access to tools and services, so more of the community of the visually impaired can acquire the digital skills to participate and contribute more fully to society.
